Our services are neuroaffirming, trauma-informed, and deeply rooted in Acceptance and Commitment Training (ACT). This means we focus on psychological flexibility, mindfulness, and self-acceptance—helping you honor your authentic self and build a life aligned with your true values, rather than forcing compliance with normative standards or unhelpful rules.
Below you will find the details on what we offer to support children, adults, families, and professionals.

The approach:
Assent-based and child-led: your child’s autonomy and choices are always respected and prioritized. Being able to assert oneself and decline is an essential safety skill for children to learn. We intentionally teach communicating “no,” and “no” is always respected.
Neuroaffirming and strength-based: We work to identify necessary accommodations, seek creative solutions, and focus on your child’s self-determination skills. We prioritize nervous system regulation to support learning.
Naturalistic and play-based: We seek creative strategies to find teachable moments through play, utilizing the toys and activities your child loves most.
Focus on building robust communication systems: We will assess and honor your child’s communication strengths and differences to best cultivate self-advocacy skills, build daily living tools that empower your child's autonomy, and support connection and well-being.
ACT-Informed emotional regulation: Rather than trying to eliminate big emotions or meltdowns, we help children notice their feelings without shame, learn gentle mindfulness tools, and safely communicate what their body needs.
Parental involvement, education, and support: a collaborative process to ensure that what we work towards is supportive of your child’s values and your family’s values as a unit. You know your child best. We are here to support you in finding strategies that work best for your family.

We integrate Neuroaffirming ACT to provide a gentle, collaborative partnership designed to help you rebuild your life on your own terms.
Mindful Neuro Support is not therapy or counseling. Rather, it is a supportive coaching practice rooted in contextual behavioral science (ACT / DNA-V) that focuses on discovery, strength identification, building acceptance, and helping you work towards self-identified goals.
The Mindfully Divergent coaching approach can be discussed in two parts:
The first part focuses on Discovery in which we will begin with understanding who you are and where you are at in this particular moment in life. To support discovery, the focus will be on learning about the neurodiversity paradigm and the divergent nervous system, a deep dive into Autism and ADHD as well as exploring one’s own unique neuroprofile. As awareness grows, so too can acceptance. This is the foundation.
The second part is Expansion which focuses on developing a mindfulness practice that honors one’s neurotype, how to use present moment awareness to support a divergent nervous system, and living a values-based life as a neurodivergent adult.
Sessions are delivered remotely through a HIPAA compliant telehealth platform. Services (including mindfulness styles and strategies) and forms of communication will be tailored based on your individual needs and preferences.

Why Mindfulness?
Mindfulness is the foundation because it is through the pauses that mindfulness affords us in which we can open up our choices and options in how we are moving through the world. This is where transformative change can occur. Bhante Gunaratana says it best, “Mindfulness gives us time. Time gives us choices. Choices, skillfully made, lead to freedom.” By improving our mindfulness skill set, we get better at noticing what is happening within our bodies and within our minds in the present moment. When we create this space, we can then make skillful decisions in how we move forward given the context we are presently in, rather than limiting ourselves by repeating ineffective or harmful repertoires that result from unhelpful thoughts and rigid rules we have created for ourselves, or that have been imposed upon us.
